SmartLearningPro Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SmartLearningPro (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the SmartLearningPro Android application and related services.

1. Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, SmartLearningPro may collect:

• Account information such as name, email address, mobile number, and authentication information.
• Student profile information that you choose to provide, such as date of birth, gender, parent/guardian name and contact details, school information, academic year, target exam, learning goals, favourite subjects, learning interests, preferred study time, preferred language, and referral source.
• Learning information such as lesson progress, practice/quiz activity, achievements, learning time, and subscription status.
• Payment and transaction information needed to process subscriptions. SmartLearningPro uses Razorpay and Google Play Billing and other payment services for subscription and payment-related services. SmartLearningPro does not intentionally store your card, UPI, or banking credentials in the SmartLearningPro student database.
• Notification information used to deliver in-app notifications.
• Technical information necessary for authentication, security, service operation, and Firebase Cloud Messaging notifications.

2. How we use information

• Create and manage your student account.
• Provide lessons, practice, quizzes, progress tracking, achievements, and subscription features.
• Process and verify subscription payments.
• Send service-related notifications.
• Provide customer support, prevent misuse, maintain security, and troubleshoot the service.
• Process account-deletion requests and allow an Admin to review those requests.

3. Service providers

SmartLearningPro uses third-party service providers to operate the service. These include Firebase services for authentication, database, cloud functions, storage and notifications, and payment services including Razorpay and Google Play Billing. These providers process information only as needed for the services they provide.

4. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access and encrypted network communication, to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

5. Account deletion and data retention

You can request deletion of your SmartLearningPro account from the app's Profile screen or through our SmartLearningPro Account Deletion page.

A deletion request does not immediately delete the account. The request enters the same SmartLearningPro account-deletion workflow used by the Android application. A 15-day review period starts when a valid request is submitted. During this period an Admin may review the request, contact the account holder where necessary, reopen/cancel the request if appropriate, or permanently delete the account.

If the request is approved for permanent deletion, the SmartLearningPro backend removes the Firebase Authentication account and the associated student account data handled by the deletion workflow. Information that must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, payment, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes may be retained for the applicable period.

6. Children's privacy

SmartLearningPro is an educational service. If a student is a minor, a parent or legal guardian should supervise the student's use of the service and provide any information required for the account where appropriate. We do not knowingly request more personal information from children than is necessary to provide the service.

7. Payments

SmartLearningPro uses Razorpay and Google Play Billing and other payment services for subscription and payment-related services. Payment credentials are handled by the applicable payment provider and are not intended to be stored by SmartLearningPro. Payment-related identifiers, subscription information, and transaction status may be retained for subscription management, support, accounting, and fraud prevention.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
